This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Goalie mobile application (“App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

  • User Content: This includes the goals you define and your daily journal entries.
  • Support Requests: If you contact us (e.g., via email), we collect the information you provide in that correspondence.

  • Usage Data: We log your interactions with the App (e.g., features used, time spent).
  • Device Information: We collect technical details such as device model, operating system version, and App version.
  • Analytics & Crash Reports: We use third-party analytics (e.g., Firebase, Crashlytics) to help us understand App performance and diagnose issues.

1.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

Although Goalie is a mobile app (not a website), we may use comparable in-app tracking technologies (e.g., SDK cookies, device identifiers) for analytics, performance, and personalization.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  1. Provide & Improve the App. Authenticate you, deliver AI-generated motivational messages, weekly reviews, and goal-refinement flows.
  2. Personalize Your Experience. Tailor content and suggestions based on your goals and past entries.
  3. Monitor & Analyze Usage. Understand feature adoption, diagnose technical issues, and enhance stability.
  4. Communicate with You. Send account-related emails, updates, and respond to support inquiries.

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Service Providers

We may share your information with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as:

  • AI Providers: To generate motivational messages and summaries.
  • Analytics & Crash Reporting: To monitor App performance.
  • Cloud Hosting & Storage: To securely store your User Content.

All service providers are contractually bound to use your data only as necessary to provide their services.

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure—please use strong, unique passwords and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We retain your User Content and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may delete your account at any time; upon deletion, we will remove your data from active systems within 30 days, though some residual copies may remain in backups.

6.1 Access & Correction

You can review, update, or delete your journal entries and goals within the App at any time.

6.2 Account Deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, please use the in-App settings or contact us at the address below.

6.3 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe link in those messages. Transactional emails (e.g., account notices) cannot be opted out of.

6.4 California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale of personal information. Goalie does not sell personal information.

7. Children’s Privacy

Goalie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after such changes signifies your acceptance.
